About The Position

The Office Supervisor ensures that administrative operations run smoothly, efficiently, and with a strong focus on customer service. This role provides leadership to a small team of administrative staff, maintains accurate and confidential records, and upholds the agency’s commitment to assisting individuals and families. Through clear coordination, communication, and problem‑solving, the Office Supervisor helps create a well‑organized, welcoming environment where staff can thrive and clients receive timely, quality support. Additional duties include IT/Security, Fiscal Operations, and Human Resources. Office Supervisor is the supervisory level in the occupational group for Office Associate. Employees are responsible for supervising Office Associates and planning and coordinating office support services.

Requirements

  • Comprehensive knowledge of agency, department or section administrative and program practices, policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of spelling, grammar and punctuation
  • Knowledge of agency and business software
  • Knowledge of computer operations
  • Knowledge of personnel policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of supervisory principles and practices
  • Skill in operating and supervising others in the use of office equipment including the personal computer
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret, apply, and supervise others on program policies, procedures and services
  • Ability to train others
  • Ability to provide leadership and guidance to others
  • Ability to recommend actions to improve procedures
  • Ability to review and proofread the work of others
  • Ability to prepare and generate statistical and narrative and confidential reports
  • Ability to assess circumstances and make administrative decisions that positively affect the unit, staff and the customer

  • High school diploma supplemented with post-secondary coursework in office or business administration, accounting, computer science, or related field, and related administrative and supervisory experience OR any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities
