This position is responsible for processing distribution and production documentation, answering and/or responding to all inbound calls from customers and dispatching drivers to ensure all deliveries are made in a quick and efficient manner. In addition, the position coordinates and maintains the dock area and maintenance of all vehicles. Salary - $18.00 - $19.00 / hour DOE

Requirements

  • 1 to 2 years’ experience working in a distribution environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic math and cash handling skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting.
  • Comfortable with a fast-paced environment and ability to shift focus to meet client needs.
  • Must be comfortable working with handheld units.
  • Working knowledge in Microsoft Office products, including Excel and Outlook.
  • Must be available to work evenings, weekends, holidays.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Powered Industrial truck (Forklift) and electric pallet jack as related to loading products onto distribution vehicles desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Process production and distribution documentation.
  • Responsible for correspondence with customers and dispatch drivers.
  • Communicates with drivers on day-to-day assignments.
  • Assists with inventory.
  • Builds base routes for drivers.
  • Maintains handheld invoicing system.
  • Coordinates the dock area involving the loading of trucks, shipping, and receiving.
  • Evaluates the availability of trucks for ice delivery as well as for repairs and maintenance.
  • Reviews driver logs and vehicle inspection reports and monitors adherence and compliance based on metric reporting.
  • Supports DOT compliance and other safety initiatives.
  • Receives merchandiser repair calls and dispatches service technicians.
  • Additional duties may be assigned.
