About the Role As an Operations Intermediate specializing in grain and agronomy operations, you will take on an enhanced role in ensuring the efficient handling, storage, and distribution of grain, while supporting agronomy services. This position involves operating and maintaining equipment, managing facility upkeep, assisting with inventory, and traveling to various locations to support operations. You will also contribute to training efforts and provide exceptional service to our farmer-owners and customers. What will you do? Take ownership of all aspects of elevator operations to ensure seamless functionality and efficiency. Manage the intake, drying, and unloading of grain with precision and attention to quality. Accurately measure and document grain inventory on a weekly and monthly basis to maintain optimal stock levels. Lead grain train loading operations, including detailed cleaning and secure sealing of cars for safe transport. Operate a train locomotive where applicable, completing and maintaining all required certifications with diligence. Monitor and optimize grain conditions through temperature testing and strategic blending to maintain superior quality. Precisely measure and report inventory levels to supervisors for effective decision-making and replenishment planning. Manage the unloading of bulk and packaged products and expertly pump bulk chemicals into customer tanks. Provide reliable tendering support to applicators, ensuring timely and accurate product delivery. Safely and efficiently fill NH3 nurse tanks, meeting customer demand with excellence. Perform proactive maintenance of equipment and facilities, ensuring high operational standards and detailed recordkeeping. Deliver exceptional customer service, demonstrating professionalism and a commitment to exceeding expectations.
