Job Title: Operations Strategy Intern (Analyst) The Role QuidelOrtho is looking for an Operations Strategy Intern that wants to spend their summer working towards our mission: Changing Lives, One Test at a Time. Interns will have the opportunity to gain knowledge and develop their skills all while contributing to key company projects and initiatives. Our team will help students apply their educational background and broaden their knowledge base within their role and learn more about working in the medical device/biotech industry. Interns will work with a mentor(s) on a guided and impactful project and will be able to collaborate with and be part of a supportive and dedicated team. Deliver data-driven insights that inform operational and strategic decisions by analyzing datasets, building dashboards, and translating findings into clear, actionable recommendations. This Internship is a full-time (40 hours per week) paid program for 10-12 weeks. Session 1: June 15th through August 17th Session 2: July 6th through September 7th Office Location: San Diego, CA - Students must be in the area for duration of the program. QuidelOrtho is unable to provide housing accommodations.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must be currently enrolled as a full-time student in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in the Fall Semester 2026 at an accredited university or college.
  • Minimum GPA 3.0 or higher.
  • Able to start on either June 15th or July 6th.
  • Ability to complete a consecutive 10-week internship.
  • Must have work authorization in the United States at the time of hire and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.
  • Strong analytical/problem-solving skills; attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Excel for analysis and modeling; ability to communicate insights.

Nice To Haves

  • Rising Junior or Senior at an accredited university or college.
  • Experience with Power BI or Tableau; exposure to SQL or Python.
  • Interest in operations, strategy, and process optimization.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, clean, and analyze datasets to support operational assessments.
  • Develop dashboards and visualizations to communicate trends and KPIs.
  • Perform root-cause analysis on performance issues; quantify impact.
  • Support business cases, financial models, and scenario analyses.
  • Synthesize insights into executive-ready presentations and summaries.
  • Build/reuse analytical frameworks to improve speed and consistency.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
