The Operations Technician III provides high quality assembly, repair, testing, and preventative maintenance support for Sea-Bird Scientific instrumentation across multiple product lines, including CSTAR, UBAT, and CROVER, in both production and service environments. This position requires advanced technical proficiency in soldering, diagnostics, and electronic troubleshooting to ensure product reliability, service turnaround time, and on time delivery commitments are met. This is a hands-on technical role responsible for supporting a wide range of instruments and must demonstrate adaptability when shifting between product lines based on operational priorities. The Operations Technician III is expected to follow established standard work, identify and escalate material shortages or technical issues, support process improvement initiatives, and collaborate effectively with cross functional teams to maintain workflow continuity. Success in this role requires strong troubleshooting ability, effective communication, a positive and team oriented mindset, and a willingness to cross train on multiple platforms as well as provide technical knowledge transfer to peers when needed. This position directly supports both new production builds and service repairs and requires flexibility, attention to detail, and a high level of ownership in maintaining quality and throughput.
