We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Optometry Technician to join our eye care team. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certification in optometric assisting (COT) preferred, or willingness to obtain COT certification upon hire.
Previous experience in an optometry or ophthalmology setting is preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience or experience working in a medical setting preferred.

Previous experience in an optometry or ophthalmology setting is a plus.
2 years Customer Service preferred is or work in the medical field.
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

Basic knowledge of ophthalmic instruments and testing procedures
Ability to handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality
Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and patient needs
Knowledge/ability to use various software programs (Windows, Outlook, Excel, work, email, etc.

Responsibilities

Performs clinical work up, specialized diagnostic testing.
Assist optometrists during eye examinations and procedures
Prepare patients for eye exams by taking medical histories and performing preliminary tests
Measure and record visual acuity, refraction, and other relevant data
Assist in the fitting and adjustment of contact lenses and eyeglasses
Maintain and calibrate ophthalmic equipment and instruments
Educate patients on eye health, proper contact lens care, and eyewear usage
Manage patient records and ensure accurate documentation of procedures and results
Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the examination area and equipment
