Affiliated Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics is a well-established and reputable Pediatric Dental & Orthodontic practice in Scottsdale that has been serving The Valley for over 40 years. The mission of the Orthodontic Treatment Coordinator (TC) is to create a positive and memorable first experience that sets the foundation for a lifetime of healthy smiles and a lasting connection with our practice. We accomplish this by developing a trusting relationship with both parents and patients through connection and dental education in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Professionalism, excellent customer service skills, and effective communication are key elements in ensuring new patients and their families feel comfortable and valued from their very first visit. Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in the dental field
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Must be comfortable discussing financial options and insurance coverage
  • Proficiency in using or learning office software and scheduling systems.
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others.

Responsibilities

  • Building Relationships: Establish connections with new patients during their first dental appointment.
  • Providing Dental Education: Educate parents and patients on dental health, treatment plans, and preventive care.
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Manage and coordinate patient care appointments.
  • Collaborate with dentists to develop treatment recommendations.
  • Explain the risks, benefits, and alternatives to dental treatment recommendations.
  • Address clinical, financial, and insurance questions or concerns.
  • Clinical Support: Assist with dental cleanings, procedures, take x-rays, and support the clinical team as needed.
  • Administrative Tasks: Following up on patients with unscheduled treatment plans, sending thank you cards to referring families and doctors, tracking and monitoring new patient information, etc.
