About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Paint Shop Supervisor to lead and oversee daily paint and coating operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for driving production efficiency, maintaining high quality standards, and ensuring all safety and compliance requirements are met. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills and hands-on experience with aviation or industrial coating processes.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in aviation or manufacturing paint/coating operations
- Previous supervisory or lead experience in a paint shop environment
- Strong knowledge of surface preparation, coatings, and finishing processes
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Nice To Haves
- Experience with thermal spray processes (HVOF, plasma spray, or similar) preferred
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day paint shop operations, including coating and finishing processes
- Lead, train, and support paint technicians to ensure quality workmanship and productivity
- Ensure all work meets customer specifications, internal standards, and regulatory requirements (including FAA when applicable)
- Enforce safety protocols, environmental standards, and proper use of PPE
- Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to meet schedules and resolve issues
- Monitor workflow to maintain throughput and on-time delivery
- Support inspections, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives
