About The Position

The Parking Attendant is responsible for supporting customers with parking services while ensuring the parking facility remains safe, organized, and efficiently operated. This role oversees vehicle flow, monitors parking areas, and helps maintain a clean and secure environment. In addition, the Parking Attendant builds and maintains strong working relationships with the in-house Property Management team, building tenants, and external service providers to support smooth day-to-day operations.

  • 1–2 years of customer service experience preferred
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn parking management systems (e.g., access cards, ticketing, payment systems)
  • Basic math skills for handling payments and reconciling simple transactions
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and work in various weather conditions
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular inspections of the parking structure to ensure cleanliness, safety, and presentation meet company standards.
  • Assist customers with transactions including validations, monthly parking sales, and key card issues.
  • Help customers entering or exiting the garage with equipment malfunctions (key cards, tickets, credit cards, validation scanners, etc.) and provide guidance on using automated systems.
  • Monitor parking equipment and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs to management.
  • Generate and maintain basic daily operational reports as required (e.g., cashier reports, ticket reconciliations, key card updates).
  • Support the preparation of tenant parking statements and assist with general parking-related inquiries.
  • Monitor the parking facility and issue citations for unauthorized or illegally parked vehicles in accordance with policy.
  • Provide prompt, courteous service to tenants and customers, escalating concerns to management when necessary.
  • Coordinate with approved contractors on-site as directed by management.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure parking-related documentation is kept organized and up to date.
  • Work collaboratively with the Property Management team, tenants, and service providers to support smooth daily operations.
