Portland Community College is accepting applications to be considered for Part-Time Faculty assignments in Diesel Service Technology at the Rock Creek Campus. The Department will review applications in this pool as the need arises for new part-time faculty in this area. This is NOT an announcement of a specific open position, but a Part-time Faculty Interest Pool, from which the department will identify applicants based on course assignment needs during the Academic Year. Your application may be considered for substitute assignments as well as full term class assignments. Requirements

  • ASE certification in all areas of instruction is required within the first year of hire
  • Five years recent diesel service experience
  • Five years recent experience teaching at the college level or industry trainer experience (A combination of teaching at the college level and industry trainer experience may be substituted, year for year, for recent diesel service experience)

Nice To Haves

  • AAS or Bachelor's degree (or higher) in diesel service or area appropriate to diesel service
