Portland Community College is accepting applications to be considered for Part-Time Faculty assignments in the Veterinary Technology Department at the Rock Creek Campus. The Department will review applications in this pool as the need arises for new part-time faculty in this area. This is NOT an announcement of a specific open position, but a Part-time Faculty Interest Pool, from which the department will identify applicants based on course assignment needs during the Academic Year. Your application may be considered for substitute assignments as well as full term class assignments. Requirements

  • For the following courses: VT102, VT103, VT104, VT107, VT108, VT109, VT110, VT111, VT112, VT203, VT204, VT205, VT207, VT208, VT210, VT211, VT280
  • Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree or the equivalent in Veterinary Technology from an AVMA accredited institution
  • Five (5) years experience working in a veterinary hospital, clinic, research facility, or the equivalent
  • State of Oregon Certification as a licensed Veterinary Technician (CVT), or license-eligible with license acquired prior to initial teaching assignment
  • OR Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree
  • Veterinary licensure in Status of Oregon by the Oregon Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners, or license-eligible with license acquired prior to initial teaching assignment
