As we enter a growth phase, The Historic Crags Lodge is seeking Part-Time Front Desk Agents to join our team of professionals. Rebranding and creating an environment of excellence in the luxury resort space, this role is crucial to the success and future of Crags Lodge under the flagship of VIVAMEE Hospitality. Our Front Desk Agents ensure a seamless experience for our guests from check-in to check-out and are knowledgeable about Estes Park and what the city has to offer. Responsibilities include registering and assigning rooms, issuing room keys, managing guest accounts, making reservations, and providing excellent guest service with every interaction. Working collaboratively with all hotel staff to deliver a superior guest experience, our ideal candidate is ambitious and wants to grow within the organization. Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Two years of client-facing customer service experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong critical thinking skills, data collection, fact establishment, and logical reasoning skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel), and experience operating standard office equipment.
  • Basic mathematical proficiency for quick and accurate calculations as needed for the role.
  • Ability to independently manage time and schedule with minimal supervision.
  • Highly organized with strong work ethic.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a hospitality setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and portray VIVÂMEE values in every guest communication and team collaboration.
  • Know, understand, and adhere to company-established policies and procedures.
  • Greet, register, and assign rooms to hotel guests professionally and efficiently.
  • Maintain room inventory records.
  • Possess knowledge of hotel history, room locations, available room types, and rates.
  • Utilize reservations systems for same-day and future bookings, implementing cancellation and deposit policies.
  • Coordinate room status updates with housekeeping for checkouts, late check-outs, early check-ins, special requests, etc.
  • Coordinate guest room maintenance with the maintenance department.
  • Use upselling selling techniques to promote hotel rooms and services.
  • Stay informed about daily activities and meetings/events within the hotel.
  • Offer guests information and suggestions about the Estes Park area, what it has to offer, special attractions, etc.
  • Accurately post charges for rooms, food, liquor, miscellaneous sales, and telephone calls.
  • Transmit and receive messages accurately and promptly for staff and guests.
  • Provide information on hotel services, guest registration, and local amenities.
  • Report any unusual occurrences or requests to department management.
  • Perform simple bookkeeping activities, balancing guest ledgers and handling monetary transactions accurately.
  • Review accounts and charges during check-out, verifying guests' credit and payment methods.
  • Efficiently check out guests, express gratitude, encourage return visits, and help with future reservations.
  • Ensure the accuracy of reservation, cancellation, and change information.
  • Maintain guests' privacy.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor according to hotel policies.
  • Assist department management with forecasting.
  • Coordinate with the sales department for sales leads, client updates, pickups, rooming lists, etc.
