Sonoran Learning Collective - Part-Time Hybrid 4th Grade Teacher
About The Position
Sonoran Learning Collective is a Christian, hybrid microschool serving families in the North Valley who want a flexible, relationship-centered education rooted in traditional learning methods. We are seeking a part-time Hybrid 4th Grade Teacher to lead a small class of 6–8 students (ages 9–11). Students attend in-person classes two days per week (Mondays and Tuesdays) and complete guided work at home the remainder of the week with parent support. We use a set curriculum, allowing teachers to focus on student relationships, individualized support, and strong communication with families. This role is best described as a blend of teacher, tutor, and academic coach. It is ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with a small group of students and partnering with parents to support learning.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience working with children and curriculum)
- Experience working with children (school, homeschool, church, tutoring, etc.)
- Background check and fingerprint clearance required

Responsibilities
- Teach core subjects using provided curriculum
- Provide individualized math instruction and academic support
- Help students build organization, focus, and independent learning skills

- Help students set and work toward individual academic goals
