NEW ALBANY, OH (LOCAL CANDIDATES PREFERRED) - A warm, active family is seeking a PART-TIME NANNY to complement their long-term primary nanny and help balance care and coverage in a busy, parent-present household. This is a live-out role ideal for a flexible, confident caregiver who brings energy, initiative, and the ability to comfortably redirect children away from parents while both parents are home. The family has four children with established routines and school schedules: a 6-year-old in full-day school, a 4.5-year-old in half-day school until noon, a 3-year-old in half-day school three days per week, and a 1.5-year-old who is home during the day and enjoys walks, play, and early language development. The nanny will rarely be responsible for all children at once, as coverage is staggered and highly structured. This role is designed to support and complement the lead nanny, with approximately 25-30 hours per week. Hours will lean toward the back half of the day and are spread across 3–4 blocks during the week, with flexibility to work around the right candidate’s schedule when possible. Typical coverage includes combinations such as 8:30 am–2:00/3:00 pm or 2:00–7:30 pm on select weekdays (Monday-Thursday), and 8:30 am–2:00/3:00 pm on Fridays. There is a strong preference for every other Saturday, covering approximately 4:00–10:00/11:00 pm. Friday evenings are not required. Both parents are regularly in the home, and the most important trait for this role is confidence and strength of presence. The children naturally gravitate toward their parents, and the support nanny’s primary function is to buffer, engage, entertain, and redirect the children away from Mom and Dad, allowing the household to run smoothly. Candidates must be comfortable stepping in, holding attention, and confidently leading activities without defaulting back to the parents. A daycare or classroom background, where redirection and group management are second nature, is a strong plus. The ideal candidate is energetic, adaptable, and easygoing, with enough confidence to manage transitions and keep children engaged, but without the expectation of being the “lead educator” or primary household authority. This is a collaborative role that works closely with both parents and the primary nanny. Candidates in their mid-20s who live locally and are looking to grow their experience in a high-quality private home environment are especially encouraged to apply. Compensation is $25/hour gross, based on experience. Benefits and long-term structure will be discussed directly with qualified candidates. The family values flexibility, communication, and partnership, and is excited to welcome a support nanny who can bring calm, confidence, and fun to their children’s afternoons and evenings.
