The Senior Peer Counseling program offers encouragement, support, and companionship to help older adults navigate life’s emotional challenges and stressors. Aging often brings significant transitions—retirement, health changes, loss of loved ones, social isolation, or the effects of medications—that can impact mental wellness and overall quality of life. Our trained Senior Peer Counselors provide understanding, empathy, and connection, drawing from their own lived experiences to support others facing similar challenges. Working alongside Weld County residents aged 60 and older, they help participants build personal strengths, coping skills, and resilience, fostering greater confidence, social engagement, and emotional well-being. Through this program, seniors gain not just guidance, but also a sense of connection and empowerment, reminding them they are not alone on their journey.
