About The Position

Join our elite Culinary Team at our new 270 Park as a Pastry Cook As a Pastry Cook within our Culinary Team, you will be responsible for supporting the Pastry Chef in the production and service of a variety of pastry items and breads for all the outlets. We are seeking a passionate and creative individual with great attention to detail, a wide range of pastry skills, and a willingness to learn and grow.

Requirements

  • 2+ years in a professional kitchen or pastry experience.
  • Safely and efficiently use cutlery and operate common pastry/kitchen equipment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work environment and uphold sanitation standards.
  • Consistently perform essential job functions safely and successfully, meeting qualitative and quantitative standards.
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills and follow instructions accurately in a fast-paced setting.
  • Lift and carry up to 50 lbs; stand for long periods of times ; frequently walk, bend, reach above shoulder height, and climb stairs.
  • Maintain regular, punctual attendance with flexible availability, including shifts that may exceed 10 hours when needed.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate within a diverse team with a strong work ethic.
  • Set up and stock pastry stations per prep lists and recipes.
  • Label, date, cover, and rotate all items using FIFO.
  • Prepare a range of pastries and breads using approved techniques.
  • Maintain knowledge of recipes, ingredients, and allergens.
  • Develop new pastry items with leadership feedback.
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and efficient under pressure.
  • Manage inventory counts, receiving, and stock rotation; report issues.
  • Inspect ingredients, finished goods, and equipment; escalate problems.
  • Uphold JPMC food quality, safety, and temperature controls.
  • Adhere to NYC Sanitation Code and company policies; arrive on time in uniform and perform other duties as assigned.
