Come join our Imaging Department as our new Patient Access Representative, you will serve as a vital link between our patients and diagnostic services. In this role, you will manage essential clerical operations, from processing diagnostic imaging paperwork and ensuring accurate patient registration to handling high-volume telephone inquiries with professionalism. You will be responsible for the end-to-end scheduling of imaging studies, which includes the critical task of determining insurance pre-authorizations to ensure seamless care. In this position you must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment where details matter. Our patient access representatives act as receptionists, schedulers and imaging clerks. Requirements

  • Experience in medical reception and radiology reception
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in customer service, data entry, operating a multi-line phone system, and working with frequent interruptions preferred.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and have excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge and use of computers preferred.
  • Must be highly motivated.
  • Possession of United States proof of citizenship or right to work in the United States.
  • Possession of a driver license or analogous identification.
  • Willingness to participate in Hospital orientation and educational in-service.

Nice To Haves

  • Epic experience preferred.
  • Previous experience in customer service, data entry, operating a multi-line phone system, and working with frequent interruptions preferred.
  • Knowledge and use of computers preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Diagnostic Imaging paperwork and clerical tasks.
  • Complete accurate registration and scheduling of department patients.
  • Answer telephone calls and transfer patients appropriately.
  • Schedule imaging studies for patients and optimally perform such duties including pre-authorization determination.
  • Respond to patient requests for information.
  • Supply reports and images to outside entities utilizing Maintaining quality customer service and patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Performing other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
