By providing patients and internal and external stakeholders with a consistent, efficient, and easy experience, you’ll help ensure that patients at The Oregon Clinic receive the highest value care tailored to their needs. Using excellent customer service and communications skills, your primary duties in this phone-based role include: Primarily responsible for processing incoming referrals and electronic fax submissions. Manage checking in and out of new/established patients. Promotes efficient physician scheduling and patient access by properly scheduling and rescheduling patients’ surgeries and/or appointments according to all office protocols and physician requests in an efficient and timely manner. Obtaining and completing insurance and patient demographic information. Answering phones on multi-line system. Updating registration and EMR records as needed. Provide PSS float coverage for all TOC Creekside Specialty Clinics (CAS, WSS, Orthopedics, Cardiology & Pulmonary) as needed. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum of one (1) year of previous medical front office experience is strongly preferred.
  • Specialty care experience is a strong plus!
  • Minimum of one (1) year of EPIC Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience is required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of previous experience in complex healthcare referral processes is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with insurance and referral processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to initiate, work independently, and effectively multitask.
  • Excellent attendance and work ethic.
  • Positive attitude and desire to be a team player.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with patients, physicians and other team members.
  • A commitment to patient-focused care, privacy, and safety.
