The Payroll Administrator I is responsible for efficient, accurate and timely data entry, payroll processing, and report generation while ensuring compliance with federal, state, local, union, and company policies. Under general supervision, he/she will manage processing of assigned pay groups, manage the payroll support email inbox and partner with HR to resolve payroll related questions. Location: On Site - Plymouth, MN What you will do: Process multi-state and union payroll groups, ensuring accuracy of all wage calculations, withholdings, deductions, and changes Ensure payroll processing is in line with company philosophy and recommend internal control or efficiency enhancements Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal wage and hour laws Prepare routine reports to include year-end data, production reports, union fringe benefits, GL data and other requested items by provided deadline Maintain required payroll files and records ensuring confidentiality Partner with Human Resources to resolve payroll related questions, verify new hires, leaves, terminations, and pay adjustments are accurate ensuring accuracy in data entry Resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information including but not limited to balancing earnings and deduction totals and correcting out of balance conditions Responsible for identifying union updates that affect payroll configuration Accurately complete and track certified payroll reporting to ensure compliance for prevailing wage jobs Manage payroll support email inbox Other duties as assigned What’s in it for you: Medical/Dental/Vision coverage, PTO, 401K match, support for community involvement and much more The ability to make an impact and shape your career with a company that is passionate about growth The support of an organization that believes it is vital to include and engage diverse people, perspectives, and ideas to achieve our best If you're looking for an engaging career with growth opportunities in a supportive environment, you'll love a career at Daikin Applied! Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • 4+ Years of Payroll Processing experience

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Workday

Responsibilities

  • Process multi-state and union payroll groups, ensuring accuracy of all wage calculations, withholdings, deductions, and changes
  • Ensure payroll processing is in line with company philosophy and recommend internal control or efficiency enhancements
