We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Payroll Associate Account Manager to manage and execute accurate, timely payroll services across multiple states. This role serves as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, ensuring payroll operations are compliant with federal, state, and local laws. Serve as the primary payroll contact for a portfolio of assigned clients Process payroll-related actions, including status changes, separations, tax changes, deductions, and direct deposits Apply for and maintain State and Local Withholding IDs; update rates as required by regulation changes Ensure payrolls are processed accurately and on schedule, including regular wages, overtime, bonuses, tips, and other premium payments Review, verify, and reconcile payroll data in accordance with payroll guidelines and compliance requirements Provide clear and timely responses to client inquiries on payroll, policies, and benefits-related topics Manage payroll processes across multiple states and ensure compliance with varying jurisdictional requirements Maintain and update employee payroll records and documentation Support payroll year-end activities, including W-2/1099 issuance and compliance reporting Prepare and file quarterly and annual payroll tax forms; process amended returns when necessary. Distribute federal and state payroll filings to clients and respond to related inquiries Understand and facilitate related payroll services such as workers' compensation reporting and timekeeping systems Interpret and process various earnings and deductions, including garnishments, benefits, and retirement contributions
