Position Overview: The Payroll Commission Specialist is responsible for the administration of compensation plans in an assigned designated region for originating employees and ensures accurate and timely payroll processing. This role maintains confidentiality, accuracy, and full compliance with both company policy and federal, state, and local laws. The Payroll Commission Specialist is critical to the day-to-day operations of the company, interacting daily with Executive Leaders, Senior Managers, Sales Representatives, Human Resources, Legal, and Accounting teams.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree and/or equivalent combination of education/experience.
  • 1 – 3 years’ payroll experience, commission payroll processing, a plus.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Excel.
  • Excellent prioritization and time management skills to meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail when processing high levels of payroll; excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • FPC or CPP Designation, a plus.
  • Experience with Workday, a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Calculate, adjust, and process sales commission for the sales team members in assigned designated region through Loan Vision.
  • Calculate retro money owed due to compensation plan changes.
  • Inspect automated system output such as commission reports and payroll registers to verify accuracy.
  • Maintain all compensation plans for the designated region and ensure that the payout is accurate and up to date.
  • Adhere to the compensation plan; understand the exceptions and approvals process.
  • Receive and provide proper explanations to phone calls/emails with inquiries from sales team members and managers regarding commission payouts, deductions, and commission calculations.
  • Escalate issues to the Senior Payroll Commission Specialist and/or the Payroll Commission Manager as needed.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality.
