About The Position

This position is responsible for maintaining organized payroll records for bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll processing for 1300+ teammates. Performing payroll related duties in the following areas: payroll processing, generating corresponding reports, assisting with audit related requests, and general administrative duties.

Requirements

  • Intermediate Understanding of payroll and payroll tax laws
  • Great attention to detail and confidentiality
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • At least 3-5 years’ experience in payroll administration
  • Must be well-versed and experienced in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)

Responsibilities

  • Reviews timecard reports and spot checks time records for payroll processing
  • Prepares payroll items for processing based on changes requested by teammates or management
  • Reviews spreadsheets received for accuracy and formats information for upload into payroll system
  • Support tax compliance including federal, state, and local taxes, are accurately calculated, withheld, and paid on time.
  • Supports payroll reporting in generating and distributing payroll reports to management, HR, and finance departments as required. These reports may include summaries of hours worked, overtime, taxes, and other relevant data.
  • Support employee benefits deductions such as health insurance, retirement contributions, and other voluntary deductions.
  • Recordkeeping: Maintaining accurate records of payroll transactions, employee information, changes, and related documentation.
  • Keeps organized files for bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll processing including all information entered said payroll
  • Support Auditing and Compliance by maintaining payroll files and conducting regular audits of payroll records to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies, as well as legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintains the Payroll Inbox by responding to requests and inquiries timely manner. This includes researching and troubleshooting requested information.
  • Trains Managers and Teammates as needed on the payroll system
  • Working closely with HR, finance, and other departments to ensure seamless payroll operations and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
  • Support streamlining payroll processes, improving efficiency, and implementing best practices.
  • Resolving payroll discrepancies and issues promptly and effectively, ensuring employee satisfaction and compliance with regulations.
  • Complete VOE’s and Unemployment information requests
  • HR On-boarding & Off-boarding process support as needed
