As the Payroll, HRIS, and Benefits Manager you will be responsible for the following: HRIS Administration: Manage the HRIS system, including implementation, setup, and workflow configuration. Create and maintain system-generated reports for HR, leadership, and government compliance (ACA, EEO-1). Partner with Learning & Development (L&D) for HRIS training and performance review setup. Payroll Management: Oversee bi-weekly payroll processing for all pay groups, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies, state, and federal regulations. Hire, onboard, train, and manage payroll department staff, including contingent labor. Develop and implement payroll processes and internal controls to improve efficiency. Handle payroll-related audits, reporting, and reconciliation. Maintain working knowledge of payroll transactions, including benefits deductions, tax compliance, and garnishments. Process off-cycle payrolls as needed and distribute W-2s at year-end. Prepare and maintain accuracy of payroll records Resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information and interacting with the community business office leaders Benefits & Compliance: Administer company benefits programs, including health insurance, 401(k), and leave of absence policies. Partner with VP of People & Culture, CFO, and benefits brokers to manage open enrollment, benefit inquiries, and compliance reporting. Track and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Business, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in payroll processing and HRIS management.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, benefits administration, and payroll compliance.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (functions, formulas, pivot tables).
  • Experience with compliance reporting such as ACA and EEO-1.
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines with attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • CPP certification and experience with UKG Pro a plus.
