Multnomah County is looking for a Payroll Specialist (Finance Specialist 2) to manage the high-stakes, centralized disbursement of manual checks and the administration of complex legal deductions. In this role, you aren't just processing numbers—you are ensuring that employees are paid accurately and timely during critical moments, such as retirements or underpayment corrections. You will serve as the countywide lead for manual check production and the primary administrator for court-ordered deductions across all County departments. This is a Limited Duration Assignment that is expected to last a year or more ; although Limited Duration Assignments may end at any time. Limited Duration Assignments can be no longer than two years in duration.
