The Department of Pediatrics at The University of Wisconsin is recruiting an exceptional Pediatric Hospitalist to join our Division of Hospital Medicine and Complex Care. We are looking for candidates with a track record of clinical excellence and interest in education as demonstrated through training and/or practice experience. This position is full or part-time, 50%-100% This position requires work to be completed onsite, at a designated campus work location. Contact with vulnerable populations that are non-minors (does not pertain to physicians/providers who work with minors): This position has been identified as a position of trust with access to vulnerable populations. The selected candidate will be required to pass an initial caregiver check to be eligible for employment under the Wisconsin Caregiver Law and every four years. Applicants for this position will be considered for the titles: Clinical Professor, Clinical Associate Professor, Clinical Assistant Professor, Professor (CHS), Associate Professor (CHS), or Assistant Professor (CHS). The title is determined by the experience and qualifications of the finalist. Physicians hired on the Clinical Health Sciences (CHS) track will participate in administrative and committee work to support the clinical and scholarly missions of UW Health and the School of Medicine and Public Health. An essential part of these duties will be working in a collegial relationship with other faculty members. Our providers participate in clinical teaching of fellows, residents and medical students, and support the teaching and clinical research missions of the division and department. Clinical expectations include providing patient care at the American Family Children’s Hospital and participating outreach locations. The discipline is now a board-certified subspecialty, and our division welcomed its first fellow into its Pediatric Hospital Medicine Fellowship in 2022. Our nationally acclaimed complex care program is a comprehensive, multi-specialty program that provides coordinated primary and specialty care for children with medical complexity.
