Per Diem Registered Nurse – Float-Primary Care, OBGYN, & Pediatrics – Queens Our Primary Care Center offers comprehensive adult & pediatric care, along with specialized services in obstetrics & gynecology, gastroenterology, pulmonology, nephrology, rheumatology, endocrinology, dermatology, and allergy. We collaborate with the hospital's clinical departments to provide care in medicine, surgery, obstetrics, gynecology, and pediatrics. The department also contributes to community health through screening and outreach programs that impact thousands annually. As a Per Diem Registered Nurse, you'll join a dynamic team, delivering exceptional nursing care with a focus on patient outcomes. Our nurses thrive in a compassionate culture, working together to improve the health of patients, families, and communities. This exciting position involves providing care to diverse patient populations, promoting wellness, treating illness, and empowering patients and families to take charge of their well-being. This is a per diem, day shift role with responsibilities across ambulatory centers. Assignment is based on staffing need.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree
  • New York State RN License
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications from the American Heart Association
  • all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in acute care pediatrics
  • Multi-discipline ambulatory experience
  • Experience in an outpatient setting or with family practice care
  • Board certification in ambulatory care
  • Familiarity with Nurse Practitioners, especially Family Nurse Practitioners, in an outpatient environment
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish
