The Phlebotomist/Lab Assistant responsibilities include phlebotomy, capillary puncture, specimen processing, and limited laboratory testing (CLIA waived). This employee is responsible for the management of laboratory functions which include the general procurement and dispatch of specimens, quality control procedures, and other clerical duties as assigned. The Phlebotomist/Lab Assistant identifies, prepares, and instructs patients prior to, during, and after collecting specimens. Also performs phlebotomy collections using patient age-specific assessments. The Phlebotomist/Lab Assistant complies with health and safety policies.
