Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Aviation Science or related degree
  • 800 flight hours and 400 hours of dual given required
  • US Passport or ability to successfully obtain is required
  • Must have valid driver’s license
  • FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with instrument rating and Single/Multi-Engine Land ratings
  • FAA Second Class medical or better, with ability to obtain an FAA First Class medical
  • FAA Flight Instructor Certificate (CFI) and FAA Flight Instructor Instrument Certificate (CFII) required
  • Textron Aviation Inc. must comply with U.S. export control laws and regulations. If a position requires access to sensitive information controlled under these laws and regulations, a successful applicant must be eligible to meet any requirements to access controlled information.

Nice To Haves

  • FAA Multi-Engine Instructor Rating (MEI) preferred
  • FAA Complex and High-performance endorsements preferred
  • Previous classroom experience as a ground instructor preferred
  • Familiarity with digital/glass flight decks preferred

Responsibilities

  • Embody Textron Aviation’s values to complete our collective mission and achieve our vision.
  • Act as a flight and ground instructor for customer entitlement training in piston fleet.
  • Exercise flights and flight shadow through sales demonstration flights and marketing support.
  • Operate company and customer aircraft globally within all applicable FAA and ICAO regulations. Complies with all regulations and local operating procedures.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of appropriate aircraft models, systems, avionics, equipment, options, product changes and updates.
  • Attends training as required. Training includes: Initial and recurrent aircraft training, emergency procedures training, crew coordination training, international procedures training, and other training as deemed necessary by management.
  • Performs office tasks such as expense report and flight log preparation, international planning, aircraft flight manual and approach plate updates, and other tasks normally associated with day-to-day flight operations.
  • Adhere to and support Flight Operations policies, procedures, guidelines and responsibilities.
  • Communicate with and ensure department personnel are aware of noteworthy issues.
  • Always maintains safety as the prime consideration for all operations.
