About The Position

Bristow is seeking motivated, high‑potential candidates to join our Pilot Cadet Program , designed to develop the next generation of helicopter pilots for our Gulf of America operations. About the Program Selected candidates will complete comprehensive flight training that includes Private Pilot and Commercial Pilot certifications, along with a Helicopter Instrument Rating. Cadets are responsible for the cost of Private Pilot training (approximately $40,000). Bristow will cover the cost of the Instrument Rating and Commercial Pilot certification. All flight training will be conducted with the Aviation Academy of Louisiana in New Iberia, LA. During training, cadets receive a competitive compensation and benefits package, along with company‑provided housing in New Iberia for the duration of the program. Upon completion of all pilot certifications, cadets will be assigned to one of Bristow’s Gulf of America bases. Training schedules may vary week to week.

Requirements

  • Current Louisiana resident with the legal right to permanently live and work in the United States.
  • Ability to obtain an FAA First Class Medical prior to selection (not required to apply).
  • Ability to relocate to or commute daily to New Iberia for the full one‑year training period.
  • Valid Driver’s License and access to a personal vehicle.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Submit a 300–500-word essay describing a time when you demonstrated resilience or adaptability.
  • Record and upload a short video introducing yourself and answering the following: Why do you want to become a pilot with Bristow? What excites you most about aviation or flying? Where do you see yourself in five years as a pilot?
