The PKI Specialist shall provide PKI Registration Authority (RA) support for the implementation, maintenance and up keep of the DoD/NSS/USMC Public Key Infrastructures by the creation and removal of LRAs, the issuance and revocation of Role Based, Code Signing, End user, administrator and server certificates, alternate token issuance, certificate suspension, key recovery, SIPRNet Token and CAC PIN resets. The candidate will be asked to manage the production and issuance of USMC Alternate Tokens using the DoD NEATS System and production and issuance of the DoD/NSS SIPRNet tokens using the Token Management System (TMS). The PKI RA section is a fast paced work environment and serves as the only PKI Enterprise help desk in the USMC providing professional and courteous support to customers located throughout the world to include tactical environments. The candidate will be required to use PKI RA and customer service skills to enhance the network security by the use of PKI while working with internal divisions, external organizations, various other Department of Defense organizations and a myriad of Government and civilian organizations Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Work as part of a team of military, government civilian, and contractor technical experts to provide on-going support, problem resolution, and recovery of critical PKI software and hardware components. Serve as an assistant auditor directly responsible for the auditing of Marine Corps Local Registration Authorities in accordance with DoD/USMC Certificate Practice Statements. Manage and use the Remedy ticket managing system for the MCCOGPKI section. Provide daily, weekly and monthly tracking of all trouble tickets assigned to the section as required. Manage and use the MCCOG PKI section CAC Pin reset (CPR) program providing direct support for CPR workstations located throughout the world. Assist with documentation and training curriculum of Marine Corps-wide training for Registration Authorities, Local Registration Authorities, Trusted Agents and Key Recovery Agents. Responsible for the population and maintenance of several critical databases for both SIPRNet and NIPRNet implementations. Provide technical expertise to the development of Marine Corp-wide policy and plans such as Certification Practice statements, Implementation plans, Concepts of Operations, and Standard Operations procedures.
