The Role: The Planned Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing a comprehensive planned maintenance program to ensure the optimal performance, safety, and longevity of our customers doors. This role involves coordinating maintenance schedules, communicating with customers, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring internal adherence to planning process. This role is based in Monroe North Carolina and reports to the Director of Service Operations and works closely with other maintenance and administrative personnel to ensure the facility’s systems remain operational, efficient, and safe through proactive maintenance management

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree or technical training in a maintenance-related field preferred.
  • Experience with maintenance trades or completion of an apprenticeship program is highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and supervisory skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical manuals and maintenance documentation.
  • Ability to analyze maintenance data and recommend program improvements.
  • Experience coordinating with vendors and contractors.
  • AAADM certification or equivalent
  • Familiarity with safety and environmental regulations governing automatic door maintenance operations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, document, and establish planned maintenance procedures for our National accounts’ customers.
  • Plan and schedule recurring planned maintenance activities in coordination with maintenance staff, management, and customers to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
  • Utilize internal tools to create, assign, and track work orders, ensuring timely completion and accurate documentation of maintenance tasks.
  • Collect and compile data on equipment performance, maintenance completion rates, and task timeliness to evaluate and improve the planned maintenance program.
  • Review manufacturer manuals and industry standards to determine optimal maintenance frequencies and procedures.
  • Coordinate with external contractors for specialized maintenance services and ensure work meets quality and safety standards.
  • Assist in customer budget preparation and monitor expenditure related to planned maintenance programs.
  • Generate reports on maintenance activities, equipment status, and program effectiveness for management review.
