Manufacture traffic control metal components and enclosures using various processes including cutting, punching, deburring, and bending equipment. MoboTrex has an opportunity to join our growing organization as a full-time Planner / Scheduler at at our location in Pflugerville, TX. Must be able to work Mon-Fri 7am - 3:30 pm. The Planner/Scheduler is responsible for analyzing demand, planning production schedules, and coordinating material flow to support on-time customer delivery. This role partners closely with Production, Engineering, and Purchasing to maintain accurate schedules, manage shortages, and ensure inventory integrity across assigned areas. The Planner/Scheduler plays a critical role in balancing capacity, labor loading, and material availability while supporting continuous improvement within manufacturing operations

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, or related field OR High School Diploma/GED with 5–7 years of progressive experience in production planning within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and capacity planning
  • Advanced working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems
  • Solid understanding of master scheduling and forecasting principles
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, multi-sheet linking)
  • Ability to analyze data and translate findings into actionable production plans
  • Strong cross-functional communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Willingness to engage directly with shop floor personnel to validate schedules
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Industrial Engineering, or related field
  • 3–5+ years of experience in production planning or master scheduling
  • Experience in ERP/MRP systems within a discrete manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed production schedules aligned to customer demand and delivery requirements
  • Plan, schedule, coordinate, and monitor products through the complete production cycle
  • Analyze MRP outputs and adjust work orders as necessary to align with master production plans
  • Review engineering plans, bills of materials (BOMs), and production specifications to establish labor and capacity requirements
  • Read, interpret, and execute Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) in a timely and accurate manner
  • Manage and communicate material shortages; act as liaison between Operations and Purchasing
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate material replenishment to prevent production delays
  • Validate shop floor progress and adjust schedules as needed to support workflow continuity
  • Recommend revisions to production schedules when constraints arise
  • Assist with automation and improvement of manual reporting processes
  • Serve as backup for other Planner/Scheduler positions as needed
  • Support continuous improvement and ERP system optimization initiatives
  • Perform other duties as assigned
