As a standalone business, Vybond is poised to strengthen its leadership in pressure-sensitive adhesive tapes, delivering innovative solutions to industrial and specialty markets worldwide. Headquartered in Franklin, KY, with facilities in Riverhead, NY, and Bristol, RI, Vybond Group, Inc. manufactures specialty foil, film, and duct tapes and adhesives. With over 1,500 specialty SKUs spanning 500+ product families, Vybond serves 1,500+ customers across the HVAC, building and construction, industrial, retail, medical, aerospace, automotive, and other specialty industries. Job Summary: As a member of our Supply Chain group, the Scheduler is responsible for creating and maintaining the plant schedule on a daily basis. The scheduler must ensure the master plan is executed and customer demand is met while providing manufacturing a plan that maximizes efficiency and minimizes waste.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • Experience using an MRP/ERP system.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and material flow.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills: Ability to analyze data, identify problems, and develop solutions.
  • Exhibits "Go, See, Think, Do".
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Communication skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration.
  • Organizational skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Time management skills: Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adjust to changing priorities and unexpected issues.
  • Able to work well in a team environment.
  • Willingness to travel when required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a well-planned production schedule to meet customer requirements and maximize machine efficiency.
  • Utilize enterprise resource planning system to manage production data and maintain production work orders.
  • Plan production for Make to Order and Make to Stock items respective of available capacity on associated equipment.
  • Work closely with operations to understand machine capacity, collaborate on overtime as required, and effectively execute changeovers.
  • Identify and resolve issues that may impact the production schedule.
  • Work closely with operations to plan for downtime events such as holiday or maintenance.
  • Verify material availability and coordinate with purchasing for incoming raw material deliveries.
  • Update the production schedule as required.
  • Balance priority of backorders with other planned production; produce updates with reason code for any overdue production work orders to leadership team.
  • Inform relevant teams about any changes that may occur to the production schedule that could impact business priority or commitment to customer.
  • Integrate R&D Trials into production schedule.
  • Work with master schedulers on the execution of the master plan.
