Position Summary: The Planning and Inventory Supervisor is responsible for oversee the entire physical inventory within the finished goods room. This effort includes, but is not limited to, plan, schedule, and coordinate the progress of orders of precision machined medical components through various procedures. This individual works with the entire plant to ensure final assembly within the required schedule and the corporate goal of accurate shipments carried out on time.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience combined across inventory, machining, inspection and assembly
  • Proven leader of people with strong self-starting skills
  • Aggressive, goal-oriented individual with strong persuasive skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Multi-tasking abilities required for successful job completion
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail

  • Advanced critical thinking and problems-solving skills
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office products and ERP Systems

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Manages Inventory of all Implant related components.
  • Oversees all activities related to the inventory of implant components until final assembly.
  • Leads the team to achieve accurate counts and inventory in the correct location of all components.
  • Directs the creation of correct assembly paperwork with the kitting of the right components, without errors.
  • Works closely and frequently with the ERP (AX) Functional Coordinator for the accurate synchronization of physical inventory with that of the system.
  • Leads consistent and frequent internal audits to ensure that accurate external audits that will occur on a quarterly to annual basis.
  • Ensures the success of all external audits, which will reflect the accurate physical counts that are reflected in the ERP (AX) system.
  • Plans, coordinates and manages the orders and the lines within them that manufacturing department heads produce, to facilitate assembly and shipment on time.
  • Utilizes skill and judgment to work with manufacturing engineering in the optimization of machine utilization, and to identify work that can be brought in for the most effective use of machines.
  • Evaluates targeted goals, record progress, and study improvements.
  • Interacts with Sales order entry, Production Control, Manufacturing, Quality, and Purchasing departments on a daily basis.
  • Provides constant feedback and input into process improvement within the department.
  • Attends scheduled meetings and actively participates by providing meaningful input.
  • Flexible with time and scheduling to assure availability to customers or the company as circumstances warrant.
  • Communicates honestly, professionally, and respectfully with others and demonstrates effective listening skills.
  • Assists in the organization and maintenance of the manufacturing work environment.
  • Adheres to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies.
