About The Position

Exentec is currently seeking Plastic Welders at our Nampa, ID location. The Plastic Welder uses specialized equipment and welding tools to fabricate and assemble plastic parts into a finished product according to print specifications promptly to meet customer requirements and the production schedule. About Exentec and Exential Exentec and Exential serve the semiconductor, life sciences, and other advanced technology industries, offering integration and installation of everything from high-purity piping for gas, chemical, and water systems to chilled water, wastewater, and HVAC systems, along with a full suite of electrical and controls systems. Exentec and Exential can design, supply, install, hook up, and commission our own line of gas, chemical, and cleanroom equipment, including external OEM equipment supply and installation, such as cooling towers, chillers, pumps, heat exchangers, etc. Exential, part of the Exentec family, delivers our installation services in the US market.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required.
  • 2-4 years in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings.
  • Use of grinders, drills, Dremel tools, and saws.
  • Skilled in operating welding equipment and power tools independently.
  • Good oral, written, and reading comprehension; basic computer skills for documentation or process input.
  • Frequent standing and use of hands is required.

Nice To Haves

  • 2–4 years of plastic welding experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Independently read and follow CAD drawings and work instructions.
  • Perform complete plastic welding assemblies without supervision.
  • Troubleshoot basic weld defects and adjust basic equipment settings.
  • Develop and modify basic templates and fixtures.
  • Perform self-inspection on parts for quality assurance.
  • Drill, cut, shape, and form plastic materials as needed.
  • Assist other fabricators when necessary to complete projects.
  • Escalate quality, safety, or process concerns to supervisors.
  • Perform tool maintenance (sharpen or replace worn tools).
  • Complete other job-related duties assigned by supervisors.
  • Suggest improvements to templates and welding setups.
  • Other duties as assigned.
