Portfolio Facilities Director
About The Position
Are you an experienced Portfolio Facilities Director ready to join our fantastic team of professionals? MMS Group is on the hunt for someone like YOU! Our Portfolio Facilities Directors are responsible for all aspects of residential property maintenance, including interior and exterior building inspections and the preventive maintenance program for a group of properties. We are seeking an experienced Portfolio Facilities Director to oversee facilities operations, regulatory compliance, and preventative maintenance across a regional multifamily housing portfolio spanning Maryland through Rhode Island. This position requires strong expertise in state and municipal building inspections, HUD NSPIRE compliance, mechanical building systems, and preventative maintenance programs.
Requirements
- 7+ years of facilities or building operations experience in multifamily housing
- Experience overseeing multiple buildings or a regional portfolio
- Strong knowledge of boiler systems, heating plants, and building mechanical systems
- Familiarity with housing inspections and regulatory compliance across multiple states
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between properties
Responsibilities
- Oversee facilities operations for approximately 10 multifamily residential buildings
- Ensure compliance with city and state inspection requirements
- Prepare properties for HUD NSPIRE inspections and manage corrective actions
- Implement and manage portfolio-wide preventative maintenance programs
- Provide technical oversight of boilers, heating plants, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
- Conduct routine property inspections and support on-site maintenance teams
- Manage contractors and vendors for repairs and capital improvement projects
- Assist with maintenance budgeting and capital planning
- Preparing properties for HUD NSPIRE or REAC inspections
- Managing inspection deficiency corrections
- Understanding HUD compliance standards and documentation
- Experience working with federally assisted housing programs
