Introduction: A sixteen month assignment for current college student working with Cadence's semiconductor IP team, designing best in-class SerDes in the latest semiconductor processes using leading industry tools and methodologies. We are seeking an exceptional intern to join our SerDes IP team in Toronto, Ontario. Candidates will be joining some of the brightest inventors and engineers in the world to develop products that make data faster and safer. As part of a smaller, tight-knit design group, you will be given opportunities to work on various tasks that span the entire business-engineering cycle. We will provide tasks that enable you to learn while also making meaningful technical contributions. We also consider interns as full-fledged team members and as your knowledge grows, so does the number of tasks and their complexities. The internship program is also an important step in our full-time post-graduation recruitment strategy, with many of our former interns returning as full-time employees. Description: The Analog IC Characterization Engineer works with ultra-high speed lab equipment to prove Cadence’s designs in silicon. The job entails silicon evaluation, characterization, debug, and support. Also, the intern will be part of creating demonstrations of Cadence’ silicon to prospective customers.
