Smith Center for Outcomes Research at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, led by Dr. Dhruv Kazi, is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral research fellow to join our team. Our group is devoted to addressing the most pressing questions in cardiovascular medicine and population health using state-of-the-science methods in epidemiology, economics, and decision science. Our work, primarily funded by the NIH, examines comparative effectiveness of therapies in high-risk populations, the real-world cost-effectiveness of novel cardiovascular prevention strategies, and the economic and health impacts of clinical and policy interventions. The postdoctoral fellow will adapt an established simulation model for cardiovascular disease to address contemporary questions in cardiometabolic prevention and treatment. As such, we are looking for a candidate with demonstrated experience in simulation modeling of chronic diseases, including hands-on experience with building a simulation model using statistical/modeling software, derivation and implementation of key inputs, model validation and calibration, and interpretation and dissemination of findings to a broad audience.
