About The Position

The Practice Administrator is responsible for the smooth and efficient operation of the designated POD within Georgia Urology, including management of the related resources associated with the operations. The Practice Administrator will exercise management responsibility over the POD ensuring efficient services that are designed to meet the needs of the patients, physicians, the public and staff. Practice Administrator is expected to facilitate a team environment not only within their respective POD but also as an integrative management approach with all other parts of Georgia Urology. JOB FUNCTIONS: Essential Duties & Responsibilities The Practice Administrator is responsible for the development of high quality, cost effective, and integrated clinical care within the POD. Follow directives and meet daily and strategic goals as set by the COO. Ability to facilitate initiatives established through the collaboration of COO, Physician POD Chief, and Management Teams. Develop and foster effective collaboration between locations, physicians, and other affiliated service to ensure an integrated approach to providing services and fulfilling Georgia Urology objectives as a preeminent provider of healthcare. Directly responsible for maintaining a fair and safe environment for the success of all employees within Georgia Urology. Work through the POD staff and physicians to produce an excellent patient experience, help reduce costs, enhance revenues, achieve quality goals and objectives, analyze, and utilize information to develop and support COO directives. Implement and maintain operating procedures to promote consistency of practice across the POD and in collaboration with other PODS. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements in clinical operations. Maintain accountability of staff for the compliance of all regulatory and quality of care standards. Perform other duties related to the work described herein as may be assigned or delegated. Coach and develop a team of clinical and administrative staff. Work with Human Resources to administer the performance management process to include the annual review process, documented counseling, progressive discipline and, if necessary, termination actions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration or related field, or comparable experience, is preferred.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in physician practice, hospital organization, or other similar patient care setting. in middle to upper management leadership role.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office; Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, and Outlook.
  • Must have a valid State of Georgia Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with multiple levels of staff, leaders, Providers, and patients across multiple locations.
  • Able to organize staff and other resources to support Providers at all levels in order to provide an excellent experience for the patient.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills.
  • Information systems’ capabilities and an appreciation for the data which will be required to make meaningful management decisions within the POD.
  • Must have working knowledge of standard software programs.
  • Ability to stand, sit and walk on a regular basis.
  • Must be flexible with ability to communicate with team, including about on-call, after hours and holiday work as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with electronic medical records and practice management systems is preferred.
  • Familiarity with NextGen is a plus.
