About The Position

Our established multi-specialty Ophthalmology group is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Practice Administrator to oversee our daily operations and drive our strategic vision. The Practice Administrator is responsible for overseeing financial management and strategic planning to compliance and quality assurance. The Practice Administrator oversees all operations of the practice and provides support in all areas. Their leadership guides our team to provide the highest standard of eye care. Requirements

  • Ability to multitask with a high degree of organization and attention to detail
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to resolve issues, build working relationships, and clerical staff training
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Proficient in EMR/PM (ModMed and/or Nextech preferred) and Windows Based software (ex Word, Excel)
  • Able and willing to travel between practice locations

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily office operations
  • Address staff issues and ensure compliance with company and regulatory policies, procedures, and practice standards
  • Establish rotation and allocation of staff to ensure effective patient care
  • Serve as point person for patient inquiries and complaints and ensure resolution
  • Oversee new position management, job descriptions, interviews, onboarding, and employee review.
  • Provide leadership, counselling/mentoring, and motivation to ensure a high level of employee engagement
  • Process improvement – look for methods to improve processes that have a positive impact on budgets, productivity, and quality of service
  • Business Planning – Develop a business plan in conjunction with the Operations Team and Medical Director; Make recommendations for implementation including timelines
  • Monitor major equipment needs for current and future service lines, associated software, and maintenance
  • Monitor compliance issues, track, report, and address compliance issues through the corporate compliance officer, and report quarterly compliance reports
