Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Phlebotomy Certification
  • Endoscope Processing Certificate

Responsibilities

  • The Practice Associate will assist the clinical staff as needed to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Assists in receiving, transporting, and positioning of patients.
  • Responds promptly to the patient and/or family and refers concerns appropriately.
  • Demonstrates awareness Of and sensitivity to patient's rights.
  • Maintains dignity and confidentiality of the patient.
  • Maintains effective communication with Practice staff, patients, families, and personnel from other departments.
  • Demonstrates competence in technical skills appropriate to the clinical area and needs of the patient population served.
  • Provides phlebotomy services to patients upon Provider order.
  • Responsible for proper disposition of specimens obtained.
  • As needed, documents care provided in the EMR.
  • Maintains a safe environment for patients and applies appropriate precautions and protocols.
  • Maintains and properly utilizes equipment.
  • Prepares endo suite for procedures, obtains needed equipment, and supplies before, during and after procedure.
