Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
Phlebotomy Certification
Endoscope Processing Certificate

Responsibilities

The Practice Associate will assist the clinical staff as needed to provide comprehensive patient care.
Assists in receiving, transporting, and positioning of patients.
Responds promptly to the patient and/or family and refers concerns appropriately.
Demonstrates awareness Of and sensitivity to patient's rights.
Maintains dignity and confidentiality of the patient.
Maintains effective communication with Practice staff, patients, families, and personnel from other departments.
Demonstrates competence in technical skills appropriate to the clinical area and needs of the patient population served.
Provides phlebotomy services to patients upon Provider order.
Responsible for proper disposition of specimens obtained.
As needed, documents care provided in the EMR.
Maintains a safe environment for patients and applies appropriate precautions and protocols.
Maintains and properly utilizes equipment.
Prepares endo suite for procedures, obtains needed equipment, and supplies before, during and after procedure.
