The Pre-K teacher is responsible for creating a flexible classroom that promotes learning and personal growth. He/she works to establish effective rapport with students and good relationships with parents and other staff members. The Pre-K teacher motivates students to develop the necessary skills, attitudes, and knowledge while providing rich, instructional experiences as a foundation for upper elementary grade education in accordance with each student's ability. The Pre-K teacher should be familiar with all school procedures and have a basic knowledge of the full range of age groups to ensure that a cohesive approach is followed.
