Job Summary This position will support all customer segmentation matrix pricing activities including Customer Segmentation, List Price, Discount Models, Vendor Cost Increases, maintenance, and administration etc. This position will require a mix of skills in data analytics, project management, operational and administrative responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline.
  • Generally 2-5 years of experience in a related field OR MS/MA and generally 2-4 years of experience in a related field.
  • Certification is required in some areas.
  • Demonstrates skill in data analysis techniques by resolving missing/incomplete information and inconsistencies/anomalies in more complex research/data.
  • Nature of work requires increasing independence; receives guidance only on unusual, complex problems or issues.
  • Work review typically involves periodic review of output by a supervisor and/or direct customers of the process.
  • May provide general guidance/direction to or train junior level support or professional personnel.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask across multiple work streams.

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years in a Pricing analytic role
  • Proficiency in data analysis, statistical methods, and using data visualization tools to interpret complex data sets
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (Pivot Tables, XLookup, Power Query, etc.) and Tableau
  • Foundational understanding of programming languages, prompt engineering, and data warehousing platforms (SQL, Python, PySpark, and Databricks preferred)
  • Strengths in the areas of financial modeling as well as pricing diagnostics
  • Experience designing and maintaining customer segmentation and discount models
  • Experience in either distribution, manufacturing, or retail price management and price setting based on analytical discoveries
  • Proven ability to analyze, evaluate, and interpret large complex data in a pricing matrix to improve decision making regarding price setting and management
  • Proficiency in Alteryx and Pricefx-Nice to have

Responsibilities

  • Serves as a resource to assigned client in area of expertise.
  • Gathers and compiles raw data; conducts research for industry trends and benchmarks; and normalizes data to be incorporated into a centralized data format.
  • Analyzes, reports, makes comparisons to industry/company benchmarks, determines trends, and prepares cost analyses.
  • Defines data definitions and documents data limitations.
  • Prepares spreadsheets for data analysis; prepare reports with charts and graphs, mailing lists, maps and ad hoc requests.
  • May make presentations.
  • Provides recommendations based on findings and analysis; provides input on policies and procedures.
  • Participates in department and interdepartmental projects.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Prepares reports and data analysis for key stakeholders, including visual representations of data.
  • Develop recommendations based on data insights for changes in price points to unlock price/unit elasticity.
  • Develops and recommends changes to business processes and policies to improve price performance.
  • Effective at communicating pricing recommendations and rationale to different stakeholders including sales and leadership teams.
  • Solving for ad hoc questions and changing market conditions through data analysis and adjustments to model
