About The Position

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Principal Architect, Cybersecurity. In this role, you will play a critical part in shaping the cybersecurity strategy by defining security requirements and developing secure cloud architectures. Your responsibilities will include implementing security measures to safeguard digital assets, networks, and systems from threats. You will assess risks, investigate breaches, and create policies to protect sensitive information, ensuring adherence to industry best practices. Your leadership and expertise will guide the organization in enhancing its security posture.

Requirements

• 10+ years of relevant cybersecurity experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, ideally in Computer Science.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• 5+ years of experience in the healthcare industry.
• 5+ years in cybersecurity roles with knowledge of HITRUST, SSAE 18, or other frameworks.
• Proven ability in strategy development, solution planning, analysis, and delivery.
• Experience leading programs across multiple business units and locations.
• Strong communication skills with stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership.
• Ability to create and govern policies and standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and oversee the implementation of new security controls, processes, and tools.
• Lead the evaluation and use of security technologies and tools.
• Develop, maintain, and document configurations, policies, and procedures.
• Support the ongoing administration and design of network segmentation tools to reduce risk.
• Identify security issues and risks, and develop mitigation plans.
• Develop and promote secure coding guidelines and best practices.
• Create essential project documentation, including design and operations guides.
• Identify gaps and propose solutions to enhance security effectiveness.
• Support the development of testing and evaluation plans for cybersecurity activities.
• Act as a cybersecurity advisor for engineering teams to ensure secure practices.
• Mentor teams on cybersecurity topics, fostering expertise in security and protocol design.
• Govern the adoption of cybersecurity controls across the organization.
