The Enterprise Data center and Network (DCN) Organization designs, implements and operates a state-of-the-art Information Systems Infrastructure serving around 110,000 employees, in over 700 locations across 65 plus countries. The Lead Network Engineer within the Connectivity team is a key role in the development, delivery implementation and operational support of Network services at designated branch site

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in planning, with proven expertise in Network architecture frameworks and methodologies.
  • 8+ years’ total IT Infrastructure experience
  • Network and Server infrastructure design and implementation
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in configuring DataCenter Switching and Routing Networks.
  • Experience with network management tools and technologies, including Cisco, Juniper, or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in designing and implementing cloud networking solutions.
  • Expertise in network design, protocol analysis, cloud platforms, and security methodologies.
  • Professional-level certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or Juniper Networks Certified Professional (JCP).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of cloud computing, security, and data management.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols, security standards, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in designing and implementing enterprise-level network solutions.

Nice To Haves

  • Supporting the operations and maintenance of the VMware virtual infrastructure, including, but not limited to, vCenter Server Appliance, vRealize Operations Manager (vROps), vRealize.
  • Performing upgrades and applying patches or firmware updates to the virtual infrastructure software or hardware.
  • Leverage good understanding of Private and Public Cloud technologies
  • Providing operational support on a wide range of technologies, including VMWare NSX, Cisco, Citrix Load balancer, VMWare Networking, Routers, Switches, Software-based networking, Firewalls, ACLs, DMZ.
  • Strong Data Center Knowledge including Nexus Routing & Switching.
  • Expertise in TCP/IP model, OSPF, BGP, IP addressing and routing best practices.
  • Expertise with switching technologies VTP,802.1q, VLAN, Etherchannel, Trunking, Port Security, STP and RSTP.
  • Strong experience in the following products / solutions: Cisco Nexus 7K, 9K. Catalyst 9000 switches and 5K’s (UCS) ISR 4000 and 1000 routers
  • Robust experience operating and troubleshooting complex networks with segmentation and virtualization.
  • Strong experience with Cisco ACI Spine and leaf architecture
  • Skills in partnering with internal customers at all levels to define problems, identify solutions, and facilitate change
  • Skill/proven ability to analyze complex problems and break them down into logical, actionable parts.
  • Programming, scripting, developing code on Unix using API's, python or equivalent is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal skills - effective listening and teaming
  • Self-motivated, demonstrated bias for action
  • The ability to be a change agent and promote positive change in the organization demonstrating drive for continual improvement and efficiency
  • Excellent oral, written and collaborative communication skills, including executive level communications.

Responsibilities

  • You will function as the Subject Matter Expert for deploying and operating Data Center & Network infrastructure based on a standard architecture
  • You will build and operate data networks over a single physical and logical network, transition traditional and legacy networks using Software Defined Network, Network Function Virtualization, Automation and Orchestration
  • Design and Deploy Cloud Network Infrastructure (Azure, AWS, GCP).
  • Closely work with factory/operational technology teams to understand the end-to-end operational workflow and help designing standard network architecture
  • Proactively monitor and manage the network/server infrastructure and avoid business disruptions
