Position Purpose: Leads complex, end-to-end initiatives to automate secure software build, test, and deployment systems and supporting infrastructure. Owns the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of CI/CD automation across development, test, staging, and demonstration environments, including automated deployment pipelines, backups, and data refreshes. Drives production deployment and operational readiness through automation. Champions the integration of security automation throughout the delivery lifecycle, embedding security into builds and deployments and advancing a "security as code" culture. Continuously evolves engineering standards and technologies within a collaborative agile environment, leveraging industry best practices to improve delivery reliability, scalability, and alignment with business objectives. Promotes a DevSecOps and Agile mindset across the technology functions Defines and governs security standards and guardrails; reviews designs/changes for security implications and drives remediation recommendations Defines and maintains delivery standards and guardrails (including secure-by-default controls and progressive delivery patterns) Designs and delivers automation and platform capabilities that enable those standards across teams and improve engineering quality, reliability, and security Acts as the subject matter expert for building and maintaining observability/monitoring for the application, monitoring key performance indicators, maintaining alerting, and continuously improving visibility Leads cross-functional efforts with senior leadership and engineering teams to investigate complex issues, align stakeholders, unblock delivery, and drive solutions Advocates for innovation in the areas of distributed system flow and resilience, continuous feedback, and delivery Evaluates emerging technologies and validates fit through prototypes/POCs to inform standards and roadmap decisions Shares knowledge and develops staff capabilities to strengthen understanding of business issues and best practices Authors and maintains technical reviews and documents findings for future informed decision making Performs other duties as assigned Complies with all policies and standards

Requirements

A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science) and requires deep functional and Centene specific knowledge with 6 – 8 years of related experience.
Or equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill reflective of the level of this position.

Responsibilities
