Principal Digital EDA Engineer
About The Position
MaxLinear is looking for a Principal Digital EDA Engineer who will be responsible for the development and support of MaxLinear’ s front-to-back Digital Design Flow. You will work with design teams and EDA vendors to develop best-in-class front-to-back SOC flows. The key objective for these flows is to help all design teams achieve first-silicon success in FinFET and GAA technologies with the best PPA. Perform tool benchmarking Make tool choice recommendations and develop tool integration requirements for digital low power design flows Develop and maintain a robust release and revision control mechanism for the distribution of tools, scripts, and MaxLinear design environment to all sites worldwide
Requirements
- Strong problem solving, debugging and analytical skills with a proven ability to achieve results in a fast-moving environment
- Deep understanding of PPA, timing corners, and power management techniques like DVS/DVFS
- Experience with all major EDA tool vendors: Cadence, Siemens, and Synopsys
- Deep understanding of overall digital design flow and experience in developing tools and methods for cycle time reduction
- Detailed understanding of liberty format including NLDM and CCS
- Solid knowledge of Python is a must. TCL and Perl a plus
- Team player with strong communication skills and a good attitude
