This role will provide expert guidance in the full life cycle of HR Administration with best practices while facilitating a positive relationship with personnel and senior management. Work Location – hybrid schedule; strong preference for candidate to be near KBR Corporate office in Houston, TX Job Summary The Principal HR Generalist position will play a critical role in supporting the Business Development team during bid and proposal activities. The role is ideal for a seasoned HR professional with broad generalist experience and a strong understanding of functional and business operations. Additionally, the qualified candidate is/has: Experience supporting and partnering with senior leadership of functional organizations. Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-demand environment. Demonstrated ability to communicate with clarity and confidence across all organizational levels. Strong interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to influence and build credibility with senior leadership. The ability to quickly build rapport with HR team members and key cross-functional stakeholders within and across the business. Proven business acumen and strategic thinking to align HR initiatives with business objectives. Professional demeanor and ability to represent the organization effectively in high-stakes situations. Comfortable navigating complex organizational structures. Skilled at balancing day-to-day HR operations with long-term planning, compliance, and organizational development. A trusted advisor on employee relations, providing guidance, conducting investigations, coaching leaders, and driving proactive strategies to reduce workplace issues. Knowledgeable in succession planning and leadership development, using data insights to identify talent gaps, develop high-potential employees, and support workforce planning. Able to leverage HR technology, analytics, and innovative tools to streamline processes, improve employee experience, and increase operational efficiency. Customer-focused mindset with high professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality. An individual who desires advancement within the organization and is motivated by continuous learning, professional development, and the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility as our business evolves. Willingness to lead work teams across the organization.
