The Xbox Accessories team is seeking a highly qualified candidate to drive software/firmware solutions that enable experiences on Xbox Accessories. We are looking for a Prinicipal Technical Program Manager in software/firmware development to join our team to lead and manage development of Xbox accessories that delight our customers. The candidate must be highly motivated and a self-starter who will thrive in this fast-paced technical environment. Experience in the gaming industry or a deep love of gaming as you will be making prioritization decisions to ensure development timelines meet partner-team schedules while delivering on the key product truths that make Xbox experiences great. This team will be exploring new development models partnering with experts in various technological fields to innovate and expand our development abilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree AND 6+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects
• 5+ years of experience in managing software development /platform enablement/ firmware development.
• Experience in technical program management of complex cross-group, cross-business, cross-disciplinary projects
• Experience and skills in C/C++ and OS internals
• Experience in collaborating with internal and external partners to understand their requirements and translating them into solutions
• Experience in low-level software running on hardware e.g., Firmware, UEFI, BMC, BSP
• Proven ability to synthesize and communicate solutions to complex technical problems and resolve dependencies.
• Organization and project management skills, e.g., experience with SW/FW agile project management methodology, TFS, DevOps, JIRA or similar

Responsibilities

• Build alignment with engineering, design, research, field, and business partners to ensure platform progress effectively toward production and Day 1 readiness
• Provide strategic direction by helping teams identify and prioritize product needs, emerging industry opportunities, and gaming native trends
• Set expectations, negotiate timelines, and manage handshakes, dependencies, and deliverables
• Lead regular reviews ensuring partners have clarity on roadmaps, program status, progress, and risks
• Oversee firmware/software level debug as part of end-to-end firmware development and debug
• Partner across different teams and geos and contribute to the success of the greater organization
