About The Position

Blue Orange Digital is looking for a strategic, relationship-driven Private Equity Channel Partner to lead our PE channel partnership and go-to-market strategy. This is a mid-to-senior level role that blends consultative advisory with direct sales execution. Working directly with the CEO and sales team, you will build relationships with PE operating partners and portfolio executives, translating Blue Orange’s AI and analytics capabilities into concrete value creation levers that PE firms care about: revenue acceleration, cost optimization, EBITDA improvement, and exit readiness. This is a practice-building role. You will help define the PE partnership playbook from the ground up, establish Blue Orange as the go-to AI partner for private equity, and own a revenue target tied to PE-originated and PE-influenced deals. If you thrive at the intersection of AI innovation, private equity value creation, and enterprise relationships, this role was built for you. At Blue Orange, you won’t just sell AI solutions to PE firms — you’ll operate with them. You will command a personal bot fleet — an orchestrated network of virtual agents and automated workflows that function as your digital labor force. These purpose-built automations handle portfolio company research, PE firm mapping, deal intelligence, CRM enrichment, relationship tracking, and competitive analysis — so you can focus on what only a human can do: building trust, navigating complex stakeholder dynamics, and closing strategic partnerships. Think of it as an augmented workflow: you’re in the driver’s seat, and your automation suite amplifies your reach, speed, and precision across the entire PE sales cycle. When you walk into a meeting with an operating partner, your bot ecosystem has already mapped their portfolio, identified the highest-value AI use cases per company, and prepared talking points tailored to their value creation thesis. This is what partnership development looks like at a company that builds AI for a living.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5–10+ years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, consulting, or solution sales within technology, data, or analytics sectors. 8+ years preferred.
  • Prior experience in the PE ecosystem is highly desired — either as an Operating Partner, on advisory teams, or serving PE clients as a consultant. Deep understanding of value creation levers, portfolio company dynamics, and PE stakeholder thinking is essential.
  • Strong familiarity with data analytics, business intelligence, and AI trends. Must be able to communicate technical concepts in business language for C-level audiences; engineering background not required.
  • Proven track record managing complex deal negotiations, maintaining pipelines, and exceeding revenue targets. Skilled at building C-level relationships and managing extended sales cycles.
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills with executive presence. Strong writing abilities for thought leadership and follow-up communications.
  • Entrepreneurial, self-motivated, and comfortable with ambiguity. Collaborative team player who thrives in cross-functional environments with genuine curiosity about solving business problems through AI and data.
  • Comfort operating within an AI-augmented workflow — you don’t need to build the bots, but you should be eager to manage, refine, and get the most out of your digital labor force to outperform traditional partnership teams.
  • Based in New York City or willing to relocate. Must attend in-person meetings, client visits, and industry conferences.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior Operating Partner role, PE-focused consulting experience, or direct experience within a PE portfolio company.
  • Existing relationships with PE firms, operating groups, or portfolio company executives.
  • Experience building PE channel programs or partner ecosystems from the ground up.
  • Familiarity with platforms like Databricks, Snowflake, AWS, Azure, or Microsoft Fabric in a sales or advisory context.
  • Experience with AI-powered sales platforms, intelligent CRM tools, or workflow automation.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and grow strategic partnerships with PE firms, operating groups, and portfolio company leadership — building a repeatable pipeline of AI and analytics opportunities across their holdings, augmented by your digital labor force for PE firm mapping, portfolio analysis, and contact discovery.
  • Identify and prioritize target PE firms through a combination of relationship-driven outreach and AI-powered intelligence — deploying your virtual agents for market research, competitive positioning, and deal signal detection.
  • Build referral networks and co-selling motions with PE operating partners, creating a flywheel where successful engagements in one portfolio company generate introductions to others.
  • Advise PE stakeholders on how AI and advanced analytics unlock portfolio value — translating complex technical capabilities into the business language of EBITDA improvement, operational efficiency, revenue acceleration, and exit readiness.
  • Customize Blue Orange’s offerings to specific PE and portfolio company needs, articulating clear ROI and building business cases that resonate with investment professionals and operating partners.
  • Lead discovery sessions with portfolio company executives to diagnose data and AI maturity, identify quick wins, and scope transformational engagements — supported by your automation stack for pre-meeting intelligence and industry benchmarking.
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with PE teams through regular check-ins, quarterly business reviews, and proactive advocacy for client needs — with your bot fleet tracking engagement cadence, surfacing re-engagement triggers, and preparing relationship summaries.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between PE partners and Blue Orange’s delivery organization, ensuring seamless communication and client satisfaction throughout the engagement lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with Account Executives, data engineers, and AI specialists to qualify opportunities, build tailored proposals, and close complex deals — ensuring smooth handoffs to delivery teams.
  • Represent Blue Orange at PE-focused conferences, operating partner summits, and industry events, establishing thought leadership on AI’s role in portfolio value creation.
  • Own a PE-channel sales quota with quarterly and annual revenue targets, managing pipeline with precision and delivering accurate forecasts — with AI-assisted pipeline analytics providing real-time visibility into deal health and conversion probability.
  • Help define and iterate on the PE partnership playbook — codifying what works into repeatable frameworks, outreach sequences, and engagement models that scale as the practice grows.
  • Provide continuous market feedback to product and delivery teams, helping refine Blue Orange’s AI offerings based on real PE ecosystem needs and competitive dynamics.
  • Continuously tune and expand your orchestrated bot network — adopting new automations, refining workflows, and sharing best practices with the broader sales organization. At Blue Orange, the best channel partners don’t just use AI; they orchestrate it.
  • Potentially mentor future team members as the PE practice scales.
